The Queensland Government is introducing new requirements for non-local farm workers, whereby employers and others will be required to submit a health management plan (Health Plan) to Qld Health.
– A Health Plan will soon be developed and released when Qld Health releases its new Directive. It will be similar to the existing Health Plan template (hereDownload the plan template (DOCX 221 kB)) for Qld border crossing.
– The Qld Government’s objectives are to reduce the risk of spreading from Current COVID-19 hotspots, reduce risks of it spreading within Qld and to manage outbreaks.
– The new requirements will be for farmers, worker accommodation providers and people transporting workers to farms.
– It is understood that all Qld banana growers will be required to have a Health Plan except if they are only employing local workers.
