The Australian Banana Growers’ Council has farewelled Director Jade Buchanan, who has stepped down after more than three years of service to the Board.
During that time, Ms Buchanan has been a valued member of the board, representing the interests of growers and contributing additional time to events like Banana Congress and issues including feral pig management.
Ms Buchanan, who farms at Wangan, said it had been wonderful to have the chance to contribute in this way. “I’m now focussing on my family and farming business,” she said.
“But I look forward to continuing to be an active ABGC member into the future.”
Chair Stephen Lowe paid tribute to Ms Buchanan and wished her well for the future. “Jade’s passion for our industry is second to none. Her insights and contribution to our Board discussions and decisions will certainly be missed.”
