There’s just one week until the Mini Banana Roadshows kick off in New South Wales, with Coffs Harbour first up on 5 September.
Hosted by the National Banana Development and Extension Program, the roadshows will cover the latest research relevant to subtropical growing conditions. Topics include:
- Banana weevil borer management
- Chemical resistance fundamentals
- Mite management
- Lady Finger varieties
- Pre-commercialisation trials in NSW
- Banana consumer insights and trends
The Coffs Harbour roadshow, and the 7 September event in Murwillumbah, kick off with lunch at 12pm. RSVP is essential for catering.

Research and extension staff from Far North Queensland, alongside NSW IDO Steven Norman, are looking forward to meeting growers in person to discuss these topics and how they apply to your farm. The mini roadshows feature short, sharp presentations and plenty of time for questions and conversations.
Hope to see you there!
