The latest research suggests that TR4 destruction zone requirements can be improved, and offer management improvements to affected growers. Destruction zone workshops were planned for this week in FNQ however have been cancelled due to the presence of Cyclone Jasper. Workshops will be rescheduled for early 2024.
All FNQ growers should have now received letters from Biosecurity Queensland (BQ) with Informed Consent forms. The return of these forms to BQ is required for successful continuation of the TR4 program which is paid for by grower levies. All growers are encouraged to return forms ASAP to enable ABGC to offer TR4 service and advice. Please contact Geoff Wilson on 0418 644 068 if you have any questions or if you have not received a form to complete.
TR4 surveillance has been carried out continuously since commencement in September.
