PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE:
To support our BBTV inspectors in their duties of containment and control of BBTV, including extension activities for both commercial and backyard growers.
HOW HAS YOUR ROLE HAD IMPACT FOR GROWERS?
- Run workshops where growers can view live samples of banana leaves infected with BBTV, network with the DPI, and local agronomists.
- Facilitate the delivery of the BBTV project reports for continued biosecurity to the Banana industry.
- Spatial real time data management and curation for concise reflection of BBTV containment and control.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
Half a decade of industry experience with a Bachelor of Agriculture, largely focused on sustainability and climate change. Majored in soil science, scientific writing and Agriculture from an Environmental perspective.
