Backing our banana industry’s future
The Banana Imports Committee has published a list of contributors to the Banana Imports Fighting Fund (BIFF), recognising the growers and supply chain businesses who are investing in efforts to protect Australia’s banana industry.
The decision to publish the list follows calls from within the industry to publicly acknowledge and thank those who are contributing to the Fund and helping make this critical work possible.
Every contribution helps strengthen the industry’s capacity to build a robust, evidence-based case against the importation of fresh bananas into Australia. This includes the technical, scientific and advocacy work needed to represent the industry’s interests throughout the Australian Government’s import risk assessment process.
The Imports Committee and ABGC sincerely thanks the growers and businesses who have committed their support. Their contributions demonstrate a shared commitment to protecting Australia’s banana industry, the livelihoods it supports and its future.
Help strengthen the case against banana imports
The strength of this effort depends on support from across the industry. Every contribution counts, and we encourage growers and supply chain businesses who haven’t yet joined the Fund to get behind this important work.
