A Tully local with banana experience and an extensive career in policy and project delivery has been appointed to the position of Best Management Practice Coordinator at South Johnstone.

The Australian Banana Growers’ Council welcomed Amelia Foster to the Reef Team in early April.

Ms Foster had most recently been working with Biosecurity Queensland and the Panama TR4 Program, but her career spans roles across transport, health and asset management.

Ms Foster will work closely with growers and the ABGC’s Reef Team to improve water quality outcomes for industry and the community.
