Trespassing on your farm – your legal options

Grower meeting this Friday

A significant increase in the level of illegal trespassing on banana farms around Innisfail and Tully has prompted concerns about the spread of Panama Tropical Race 4.

On top of that, growers are reporting damage to fences, locks and other property and an understandable concern for their businesses..

The Australian Banana Growers’ Council has organised a meeting this Friday to discuss your legal options – what you can do to protect your property and how to prosecute trespassers.

Representatives from Queensland Police, including the Stock Squad, will be in attendance to provide information and answer questions.

All growers are welcome.

Date: Friday October 18
Time: 10am
Venue: South Johnstone Research Facility – 24 Experimental Station Road, Boogan

To RSVP or for more information, contact Sonia Campbell on 0428 038 330.
