The ABGC has joined the NSW Regional Recovery Animals and Agriculture Sub-Committee to advocate on behalf of flood-affected northern NSW banana growers.

Acting CEO Leanne Erakovic will sit on the subcommittee which was established by the NSW Regional Recovery Committee in response to the severe weather and flooding event in February and March 2022.

It will provide specialised support and advice to the Regional Recovery Committee in relation to animal and agriculture recovery issues related to the flooding event.

The ABGC will send out a survey to northern NSW growers next week to help ascertain any flooding impacts and recovery issues that we may not be aware of, or that need attention.
