Australian Bananas has today officially launched its campaign to promote the National Banana Day Virtual Relay (October 18).
Australian Bananas secured exclusive coverage in The Daily Telegraph to encourage people to get involved, with Olympian Jana Pittman leading the charge.

The campaign highlights new research that reveals Australians’ level of physical activity is at an all-time low compared to three years ago due to be being time-poor (37%) and more unmotivated than ever (32%)
The research, commissioned by Australian Bananas, also shows that while just half of Aussies want to prioritise exercise (51%), over a quarter (26%) can’t afford the gym or to do a sport they love.
The Virtual Relay is a free event that celebrates Australians being active in any way they choose. Check out the toolkit below for more and feel to share, or to get involved! (Click to view PDF in higher resolution)
The Australian Bananas marketing program is run through Hort Innovation and funded by grower marketing levies.
