To lead and participate in daily surveillance activities to detect TR4.
HOW HAS YOUR ROLE HAD IMPACT FOR GROWERS?
- Disease detection
- Minimising the risk of disease spread
- Providing an extra set of eyes over the farms to pick up potential problems earlier.
YOUR BACKGROUND:
I have worked in all roles on banana farms over the years. Before Ithe TR4 program I was lucky enough to spend 3 years working for Tony Pattison, where I got a chance to see some of the science behind the scenes that supports the industry.
