Banana Marketing Strategic Invesrment Advisory Panel

Hort Innovation in partnership with Australian Banana Growers’ Council (ABGC) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified growers and supply chain stakeholders for the above-mentioned panels.

The Research and Development Strategic Investment Advisory Panel (SIAP) provides strategic investment advice to Hort Innovation in relation to industry research, development and extension programs funded by industry R&D levies and matching dollars from the Australian Government. The Marketing SIAPprovide strategic investment advice to Hort Innovation in relation to industry demand creation programs funded from both the banana marketing and R&D statutory levies. Both SIAPs are guided by the strategic priorities set out in the industry Strategic Investment Plan (SIP).

These panels each meet a minimum of twice per year, with possible additional online meetings based on need.

If you would like to help shape the future of the Australian banana industry, apply by using the Expression of Interest form on Hort Innovation’s website. The closing date for applications is Monday 16 June.

Applications for the SIAPs will be assessed by a selection panel and shortlisted candidates may then interviewed. The selection panel will recommend the composition of each SIAP to the Hort Innovation Executive and ABGC Board.
