Earlier this month, the Australian Banana Growers’ Council (ABGC) attended Hort Connections in Adelaide. ABGC CEO, Leanne Erakovic, was joined by Chair, Leon Collins and Advocacy Manager, Kathryn Dryden. 

This annual event provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships across the horticulture industry, connect with supply chain partners and Food Safety Standards organisations, and explore new service opportunities that could benefit our members. It was a productive three days, focused on building new connections and reinforcing existing ones to enhance outcomes for members. 

While at Hort Connections, the team connected with a range of key industry representatives, including category managers at Coles and Woolworths, Project delivery partners, Wholesalers, other industry peak industry bodies, the Qld Food Farmers’ Commissioner, DAFF, Home Affairs, and more. These connections will help to continue strengthening collaboration and support better outcomes for the banana industry.
