National Banana Day 2026

National Banana Day 2026

Banana Gym Pass is back!

Bananas power Australia this National Banana Day

On Wednesday 7 October 2026, Australian Bananas (Hort Innovation) is bringing back the Banana Gym Pass, a fun national campaign that encourages Australians to get moving and enjoy the natural energy of bananas.

For one day only, consumers can use a banana as their entry pass to receive free access to participating gyms across Australia. With hundreds of gyms involved nationwide and a major advertising, radio and social media campaign supporting the initiative, the Banana Gym Pass is designed to put bananas front and centre in communities across the country.

What you can expect to see

Leading up to 7 October, you’ll see Australian Bananas promoting the Banana Gym Pass across multiple channels to help build excitement ahead of National Banana Day.

The campaign will feature:

  • Participating gyms welcoming Australians through their doors with a banana in hand.
  • National advertising, radio and social media activity
  • In-store promotions and displays at participating retailers
  • Community engagement through retailer and gym user-generated content from around Australia helping bring the campaign to life locally

Australian Bananas will be sharing highlights from around the country, so you can see how retailers, gyms and communities are getting behind Australian Bananas.
