Interested in becoming a qualified agricultural drone pilot?

The Queensland Government is funding a training program for 120 agricultural drone pilots across Queensland.

This program will equip participants with the skills to safely operate Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) for:
• Precision spraying and seeding
• Crop monitoring
• Livestock management

You will gain foundational skills for a career in Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle (UAV) operations within the agriculture sector.

Program Details:
• Online theory combined with face-to-face practical assessment
• Course duration: up to 10 months

Eligibility Criteria:
Participants must:
• Be aged 15 years or older
• Reside in North Queensland, Far North Queensland, Central Queensland, Wide Bay Burnett and the Darling Downs regions
• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen, or eligible visa holder
• Have not completed a Certificate III or higher qualification within the last 10 years (excluding school and foundation skills qualifications)
• Not be currently enrolled in another qualification (excluding foundation skills)

Cost: A co-contribution fee of $600 applies to successful applicants.
