Attention NQ growers! Come along and join in the launch of the ‘Better Bunch’ app, on September 2, 2016.

The ‘Better Bunch’ app is an exciting record keeping device, designed to assist growers in their everyday recording of farm practices to complement their BMP.

The launch will be held at the South Johnstone Research Station from 9am until noon and include a morning tea and light lunch.

App developer Dan Hickey from Morgan Rural Tech will be one of several speakers at the launch to introduce the web application and its functions.

Time to frock up and head to the Innisfail Turf Club tomorrow (August 20) for the annual Australian Banana Industry Race Day!

This fun day will include a six-race program and Fashions on the Field. A luncheon, sponsored by the ABGC, will be held from 12 noon-2pm. Gates open at 11am. We hope to see you there! And, happy punting!

With the closing ceremony wrapping up in Rio this Sunday, the next Olympic-sized event – the Australian banana industry’s latest media campaign – is set to hit our small screens.

The national advertising blitz will see our Aussie bananas promoted during prime television programming on all major free to air networks.

The television campaign will be supported by digital posters displayed in major supermarkets Australia-wide. Advertising will also be splashed across buses and trains nationally. Australian Bananas will also feature across social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram.

So, tune in from this Sunday! The key programs to watch out for include;
